Reflection on What Types of Content To Create

So, in today’s self-involved reflection, I will be reflecting on potential content I may enjoy creating in the future. I was reading this Career Corner article which I will attach below for you guys and was again asked to reflect on this blog on my own skills and what types of content I would like to create. Which is most likely between blogs, video, and podcasts. So, I have created videos for school and for fun, I even have a semi (not really) active YouTube channel. Which I use when I have the time I can really like editing a video. However, I tend to get stress and end up not doing my best work, which is not okay. I also have this blog, it definitely isn’t my first choice of content creation platforms due to my lackluster writing skills and style. However, since I have it due to school, I have been playing around with the idea of adding purely non-school related post such as fashion ( maybe brand reviews), as well as makeup reviews like my YouTube channel maybe even doing follow up blog posts relating to older videos, especially first impressions. I kind of like this idea for two reasons one I enjoy the topics, two I want to either work in a field related to either fashion, or makeup, and three it would give me the opportunity to improve on my writing. Podcast whiles I love to talk are out (for now at least) I don’t know enough about them and I am a more visual person, so that’s that.

Relating Back to The Source

So, relating back to the Career Corner article it gave a lot of statistics about how content creators earned money like advertising vs consulting vs selling their own products, etc. As well as how often they create content and how they plan to improve. For example, content creators make anywhere from 4 to 10 videos a month and they only plan to create more in the future. Blog post 5-9 posts a month. I  am personally unable to create that much content at this time of my life; however, I admire people who can create this much and while going to school. My slow content creation is not only due to my schedule, which could be solved in part by better time management if you want to check out a method for that check out my time block method post. I also don’t have the most technical skills with shooting videos, or even editing. So, while I may be creating more blog posts and videos, they will most defiantly be a work in progress. However, I am excited to go on this journey of improvement.

To find the specific stats please check out the original article. Also, leave me a comment in the comment section on which type of content you would create? And how would you get your dollar dollar bills? Thank you, guys, for reading and have a wonderful day.
