Welcome to part two of the Mimic Pro Simulation Reflection. Honestly, I have no clue what I am naming this ooh well. Anyway so in part one we talked paid search and today we are discussing the email campaigns you will create in this program.
Disclaimer all opinions are my own and are based on my own experience yours might be different.
Okay, now that is done we can begin.
Key Things To Focus On
Which metrics are important?
- Well, that depends on your goals and you should have a goal. However, here are some great basic one and the reasons why.
- Clickthrough rate- this tells you who is interested in your email and maybe would want to buy as long as the information on the landing page is relevant and interesting.
- Open Rate- this tells you whether or not your subject line is working well. Your subject line is one of the most important parts of your emails.
- ROI- Also known as Return-On-Investments basically this tells you if you are overspending on your campaign.
- Profit- DO I really even need to say why this is important…does not everyone knows that you want to make money in business?
Keywords
Keywords are the way people find our ads and in emails, they are the description of who we are and what we sell. In a way keywords are king.
Tips
- Always use the default mailing list, I repeat ALWAYS use the Default Mailing List.
- Use either the two columns or three-column template… I prefer the three. It scores higher in my experience versus the text-only email.
- I personally liked using either the featured photos or coupons. However, I’m not sure if it will score you higher than other image options.
- The less you spend the easier it is to get a high ROI if that’s what is important to you.
A Useful Tool
Another useful tool to learn about email is Hubspot, which is free, they have a course called email marketing. Which walking you through everything you may need to know about sending emails to clients. It gave a lot of insightful tips some that were to advance for the simulation on Stukent, however, it is still good to know.
Ps. Hubspot is a certification course that may look good on a resume, so bonus!
Would I Recommend This?
That is the question isn’t hmmm hmm. Well, the truth is yes overall I would with the knowledge that there are some differences between really making and running an email and this. The overall ability to practice doing this without wasting client’s or employers’ money is pretty amazing, which is why I say it is worth it.
What Could Be Improved?
- EMAIL LIST DESCRIPTIONS (sorry for the all caps it just that they don’t make sense with the score it gives you since the most tailor is the worst one to choose and the least is the best.
- I think explaining why you scored the way you did, like why did people bounce right out or buy the thing, etc. would be super beneficial.
Thank you guys for taking the time to read this post I hope it was helpful and if you haven’t check out the part one you can do that here. Also, leave a comment below on what you think of the Stukent’s Simulation?
